About me
Thank you for visiting. I am an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker, (license number 149.016461) and certified alcohol and drug counselor. I completed my master's degree at the University of Chicago and spent 6 years at Howard Brown Health in Chicago, seeing clients who used drugs and heading up the “Recovering with Pride” substance use program. I spent 4 years living in Southern Illinois and working at Shawnee Health Service, starting the organization’s first primary care behavioral health program people for addicted to opiates and other drugs. I have deep clinical knowledge and experience working with people who identify as LGBTQ, people living in rural communities, people who use drugs and their loved ones, and trauma.
In addition to clinical work, I specialize in building and leading programs in non-profit, primary care and start-up environments, driving institutional change, and implementing improvements across healthcare domains. I build for underserved and overlooked communities with a focus on behavioral health and social determinants of health. My expertise lies in strategic thinking, process optimization favoring excellent patient care, and removing barriers for frontline clinical teams to deliver care.
